Regional Feminist Capacity Building Training
WOREC Nepal organized 10 days Feminist Capacity Building Training (FCBT) at Patalikhet, Kavre from Septermber 25-October 4, 2012. The training was targeted to Women Human Right Defenders working mainly in the field of violence against women from Far Western Region of Nepal. This training provided a space for mutual sharing of the issues and challenges faced by Woman Human Right Defenders. The woman participating in the training realized the pleasure of emotional and powerful realities shared by the participants.
7 days TOT for stakeholders to develop local resource person to facilitate on Gender Based Violence and Reproductive Health
WOREC provides different types of training to the service providers to make them aware and sensitize on GBV and women's human right. WOREC felt it necessary to develop local resource persons to facilitate training on GBV and Reproductive Health as a lesson from earlier years program. Therefore 7 days TOT was conducted from 25th Septermber to 1st October 2012. Total of 19 participant participated from the 6 districts namely Baitadi, Bajura, Achham, Arghakhanchi, Sarlahi and Sunsari.
Solidarity in Peace from Nepal to Asia Pacific Region
Despite of political deadlock in Nepal the women activist’s has again initiated its campaign for sustainable peace in Nepal through various events. During these WOREC, Nepal has conducted series of event to spark the women’s campaign for sustainable peace in country and also rejuvenate the issues of women’s right which is at verge of collapse after dissolution of Constitutional Assembly. With respect to this there were some major events conducted on collaboration with Asia Pacific Women in Law and Development (APWLD) i.e. Regional Consultation and National Consultation and one event i.e.

Peace Day 2012 celebration
WOREC Nepal celebrated Peace day 2012 on Sept 21 with diffrent programs. As a joint program a rally was organized from 9 am which started from Bhadrakali, Kathmandu and ended in Bhrikutimandap Kathmandu.
National Consulation with the UN special procedure "Womens Right in Nepal - Rhehotric and Reality" was organized at Hotel Himalay, Lalitpur by NAWHRD, WOREC Nepal, APWLD and SAWF.

“दिगो शान्ति र राजनीतिक स्थिरताका लागि सबैको प्रतिवद्धता र जवाफदेहिता” नाराका साथ नागरिक समाजका ३२ वटा शान्ति र मानवअधिकारका क्षेत्रमा कार्यरत संघ संस्था र संजालहरुको आयोजनामा करिब ५०० जना महिला, युवाहरुको सहभागितामा सबैले सेतो टिसर्ट र नीलो फेट्टामा शान्ति, सुरक्षाको ग्यारण्टी जस्ता विभिन्न नाराका साथ प्रभापफेरी सम्पन्न भएको छ ।

GBV is inextricable linked to the gender norms and unequal power relations present in any society, and violence against women (VAW) is one of the most common manifestations of these inequalities. Although men and boys also fall victim to GBV, it has a disproportionate effect on women and girls, who are much more likely to experience GBV in all its forms.
