Rita Sah is a writer and women activist. She has conducted over half a dozen researches regarding the Madhesh movement, Dowry system, Reservations in the Public Service Commission, and other Madhesh and Women-related issues for various organizations like DFID, Governance Facility Nepal, WOREC, NEMAF, etc. She has also contributed articles regarding the aforementioned issues for various journals and books in the Nepali language. She has also been writing op-ed articles on women's rights, feminism, citizenship issues, social inclusion, etc for some of Nepal's leading vernacular newspapers for over a decade. She is also a leader in the current Civil Society movement. She is an executive member of the Beyond Beijing Committee (BBC) and she is also a member of the Inter-Generational Feminist Forum (IGFF).
