Women's Rehabilitation Centre (WOREC) is a non-governmental organization working for the protection and promotion of human rights. Established in 1991, WOREC is one of the leading national organizations that works to prevent violence against women, its causes and consequences, and to ensure economic, social and cultural well-being of women as well as other marginalized groups by promoting their access to rights and social justice.
Objective
1: To amplify voices of diverse women and Tran’s right activists for equality at all spares in general and for women’s right to work and get treated as workers, rights to health and right to live with dignity and respect in particular without any forms of discrimination.
2: To Establish and strengthen WOREC as a feminist resource center for social movements.
3: To strengthen/support women affected by conflict for their rights to justice and just redressal.
4: To advocate for state compliance on CEDAW, ESCR, UPR and goal 5, 3, 8, 10 and 16 of SDG.
5: To strengthen women’s movement by creating enabling environment for frontline WHRDs to get organized and get holistic security support.
6: To advocate for ecological justice and women’s leadership to manage humanitarian crisis.
7: To strengthen institutional capacity of worec to be self-reliant and led by youth.
