Women's Rehabilitation Centre (WOREC) is a non-governmental organization working for the protection and promotion of human rights. Established in 1991, WOREC is one of the leading national organizations that works to prevent violence against women, its causes and consequences, and to ensure economic, social and cultural well-being of women as well as other marginalized groups by promoting their access to rights and social justice.
When there is capacity building, knowledge management, internal resource development, creating an enabling environment to place voice at policy making level and coordination for women and girls who have been structurally left behind at the community level, they will be change agents and thus, will develop an environment for accountable and responsible governmental bodies, change in discriminatory values and behavior in the society towards women, sexual and gender minorities from the community level and establish a society with socio-political and economic transformation through change in unequal power relations and campaigns as per WOREC’s vision.
