Knowledge Management and Communication

Knowledge Management and Communication is an essential thematic area of WOREC. The organization has been working for the past 34 years to ensure women’s human rights, strengthening the feminist movement, and conducting various campaigns at local, national, and international levels. Through different campaigns and community-level programs, the organization has been producing knowledge, learning, and data based on evidence to advocate effectively. It aims to establish the organization as a feminist resource center.

An effective knowledge management system and process in the organization means that all units can systematically organize their knowledge, learn from it, collaborate, and share community practices. This will make it easier for users to find and use necessary information on time, enhance organizational efficiency, and save resources and time. The organization manages organizational knowledge by collecting various information obtained through campaigns and programs, documented incidents, statistics, advocacy materials, and other published knowledge-related materials. The primary purpose of this thematic area is to organize and manage knowledge and learning obtained from campaigns, programs, individuals, and other resources, and transfer knowledge through a knowledge-sharing system used in all campaigns aimed at human rights and social justice. Knowledge Management and Communication Unit has been established within the organization, which will help strengthen and organize the organization’s database, organizational knowledge documentation, programs, monitoring and evaluation, and research units. The Knowledge Management and Communication Unit connects people, processes, and technology, encouraging staff and campaigners to share available knowledge and learning.
